John Muir Centenary Scotland: The Book

Nature`s Peace: A Celebration of Scotland`s Watershed poses the most evocative and colourful of journeys along the entire spine of Scotland. As a huge collaborative effort involving over 50 talented and generous photographers, the 200 images within the book take the reader on a spectacular visual experience that is very much in the spirit of John Muir. "As a man who loved all the possibilities in a very long journey, guided only by Nature and his close spiritual interaction with it, John Muir has most surely given us something to which to aspire." Nature`s Peace is a perfect fit for our celebrations of the life, legacy and inspiration that this great man has handed down to us, for our appreciation today.

During the John Muir Festival which takes place over 17 - 26 April 2014, and will major on the new John Muir Way, there will be three public illustrated talks taking place across the central belt of Scotland, and in locations close to this John Muir Way. These events will give the public an opportunity to see something of the splendour of the Watershed landscapes, with images drawn from the Nature`s Peace collection.

"Peter Wright has created a landmark in the ever growing library of books about the landscapes of Scotland": Stuart Brooks, the John Muir Trust. A fine accolade surely, for what will hopefully indeed be seen as John Muir Centenary Scotland: The Book.
