Launch of Walking with Wildness

Following the popular success of Ribbon of Wildness, Luath Press has asked for two further books on the Watershed theme. The first of these, Walking with Wildness - Experiencing the Watershed of Scotland, will be published and launched on Wednesday 21st October. This pocket sized book will be a guide to 26 day and weekend walks upon the Watershed.

The walks are set out in sequence, from the border hills to Orkney mainland, and each exploits some feature on the route which makes practical day and or weekend walks possible. By utillsing natural loops, constructing figure of eights, or public transport links, each one of the walks is set out in such a way as to ensure that the majority of the outing is indeed on the Watershed. Some of the walks are in areas that are easily accessible from the main centres of population, whilst others are more remote and therefore quite challenging. All will bring rich rewards to the walker, and ensure that there is a real sense of engagement with Nature.

Walking with Wildness may be pocket sized, but it is packed with potential for any who would don their boots and venture out with map and walking pole. They will indeed `experience the Watershed`.
