Of Talks, Conference and a Festival

Following on from all of the excitement around the Linear Launch, there has been continued activity and interest, bringing Ribbon of Wildness to an ever wider audience. `Are you the guy that I saw on STV` has been a regular question, and from a highly diverse spectrum of interest too. Hot on the heels of that appearance, was a well attended illustrated talk to a Glasgow members group of Scottish Wildlife Trust (SWT). The Moffat Walking Festival provided a useful opportunity to mount a sales display in the Town Hall, with more copies bought and signed, and a number of new contacts established.

Then off to Aviemore for the Scottish DofE (Duke of Edinburgh`s Award) Conference, and another sales display in the event `market place`. Lots of interest to report, some 30 copies sold and signed, acquaintances renewed, and a lively ceilidh in the evening. One of Edinburgh`s Rotary Clubs came next, with a number of both direct and indirect sales. And somewhere amongst these events, came the Linlithgow Book Festival with yet another sales display.

All this serves to show that the interest already shown in Ribbon of Wildness is wide ranging; the book has broad appeal. So the stage is now set for more events already booked, and a number of further reviews which will appear in a variety of different publications in the months ahead.
